Volunteer


We are always looking for new volunteers to help support and serve our clients at the Social Service Center.

All individual volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and clear a criminal background check before they will be permitted to start volunteering.

Volunteer Positions:

Food Preperation and Serving:  Help staff prepare, serve, and clean up after meals.  We serve 3 meals a day, 7 days a week.
Kitchen Shifts:
Monday – Friday:   Breakfast 7:30am-9:00am
                                        Lunch – 11:00am-1:30pm
                                        Dinner – 4:30pm-6:00pm
Saturday – Sunday:  Breakfast – 7:30am-9:30am
                                          Lunch – 11:30am-1:30pm
                                          Dinner – 4:30pm-6:00pm

Intake Helper:  Help answer phones, assist residents with immediate needs, and perform intakes (check clients in, assist with paperwork, give tours).
Intake Shifts:  Flexible according to your schedule.  We are a 24 hour, 7 days a week facility.

Children’s Services:  Help out with our preschool during the school year or our summer camp during summer months.
Preschool shifts:  9:00am-11:00am Monday through Friday
Summer Camp:  8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday

Maintenance:  Help out with cleaning, handling donations, etc.
Maintenance shifts:  Flexible, Monday through Friday

Administration: Help with filing, copies and other office work. Help administrative staff prepare for reviews, budget and seasonaly as needed.
Administration shifts: 12:00-4:00pm Monday through Thursday

Host a Fun Activity for Residents:  Groups interested in volunteering often enjoy bringing in crafts to do with the residents, giving make overs, throwing a holiday party or hosting a game night.  We encourage you to use your imaginiation!  Groups are not required to attend a volunteer orientation.
