The purpose of emergency material assistance services is to provide easy accessibility to emergency assistance for individuals and families in crisis in their own neighborhoods. Services provided include but are not limited to:
- Emergency financial assistance
- Food pantry
- Housing assistance
- Prescription assistance
- Utility assistance

The geographic area served includes the Indianapolis Metropolitan area in the areas mentioned below.
Fountain Square Corps: Areas east of Meridian Street in Marion County
Eagle Creek Corps: Areas west of Meridian Street in Marion and Hendricks County
Hamilton County: entire county with a referral from the appropriate Township Trustee
Eligibility is based on clients’ expressed need. It is required that potential clients provide identification and all applicable information requested on the Intake form. The information requested is a tool to assess needs and determine the services; in particular government, health care, disability and pension plans.
An assessment is completed for each case and financial resources will be verified to ensure that all other possible means have been exhausted by the client before any financial assistance is disbursed.
