Maturing and Growing Up
May 20, 2009 by Julia
Bell* came to the shelter after her family moved back to Indianapolis from Florida. She had to find shelter on her own because she was over 18, while the rest of her family could stay together. She quickly found a part time job but was still struggling with what she was going to do. She was hoping to find a place with her mother, however in the few months that Bell resided in the shelter she matured and came to her own. She decided that it would be better to find her own place and go to school. With a little coaxing she applied to schools and looked for financial aid. Bell found a place of her own in the beginning of May. She will be taking classes at Ivy Tech and will start at IUPUI in January!
